TEDA Overview

The establishment of Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Area (TEDA) was given government approval on December 6, 1984. One of the country’s first state-class development areas, TEDA has developed into one of the country’s most influential hotbeds for high-tech and new industries. But TEDA has a more ambitious goal for the new century: to build “Asia’s biggest and China’s best modern industrial area in the 21st century”. Geographic Location TEDA is the center of Bohai Sea Economic Ring,the east endpoint of Eurasia Land Bridge, the gateway to Beijing, Tianjin and northeast part of China, and the core of Tianjin Binhai New Area.
