Hangu Engravings
Mainly
drawing upon a novel and unconventional combination
of techniques of both Chinese folk art and western art,
Hangu Engravings represent a refreshing artistic attempt
at expressing, by using new materials and new methods,
the people and their lives in Huangu area. These engravings
are produced by workers, teachers and professional painters.
Now, 700 pieces have been produced, 34 of which are
collected by China Fine Arts Museum. Some are also collected
by foreign museums, exhibition halls and individuals.
Hundreds of them are on display in dozens of countries.
