By now, under the leadership of the Tianjin Pollution Sources Investigation Office, TEDA has completed the investigation into the sources of pollution of all organizations in TEDA. Data that have been collected are in the process of being reconfirmed by well-trained investigators headed by TEDA Environmental Protection Bureau.

The investigation involves the industrial pollution sources, including pollution from companies in the businesses of manufacturing, power generation, gas and water. Pollution sources are studied, involving basic information, the categories, quantities and density of pollutants, pollution correction facilities and their operations. Pollutants like sewage, garbage and medical wastes are also studied, covering the quantities of pollutants dumped out, measures taken to correct the situation, etc.
