The prevention and containment of novel coronavirus is currently the most imperative task challenging the Chinese government and its people. CPC central committee and the state council attach high importance to this task. President Xi Jinping made several key instructions on the comprehensive fight against the outbreak, and called to set up a central working group for containing the epidemic. A multi-faceted prevention and control system at both central and local levels has been put in place with Wuhan city and Hubei province as the key priority. All work is proceeding in an open, transparent and orderly manner. The Chinese government, in the face of stern and complicated epidemic situation and with a responsible attitude, have taken strong and effective measures, and will further enforce all measures with full resolution.
The CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee and municipal government resolutely implemented decisions and deployment made by the CPC Central Committee and the state council, and made all-out efforts to prevent and control the epidemic. A high-level meeting was convened on January 28th, on which Party Secretary Li Hongzhong made further arrangements and deployment on the prevention and control of the outbreak.
